• About Haliburton Forest

Haliburton Forest and Wild Life Reserve is an 80,000 acre privately owned, sustainably  managed forest in Central Ontario. Since 1962 Haliburton Forest has embarked on an ambitious program of natural forest regeneration which has attracted international recognition.

Haliburton Forest earned the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) environmental certification in 1998, the first forest in Canada for this award, and is currently FSC 100% Pure, a designation rarely achieved in North America. Since 1997, Haliburton Forest has been producing log home kits from hemlock harvested on their own lands under the “EcoLog Concepts” banner.

Inspired by the success of EcoLog, we have now developed a unique line of small buildings, currently offering kits for Micro Houses, Garden Sheds and Wood Storage shelters. As always, the wood is harvested from the Haliburton Forest, milled at our own sawmill and trimmed by our own Woodshop staff. We seek to provide a range of useful small buildings for an economical price, locally-sourced and using local labour.

All our wood is FSC certified.
